Mixed pastel bloomsFrom vintage crockery, reused as wedding decorations and displays to cherished family memorabilia doubling up for table settings and stationery, this season, many of the weddings we are working on have combined the elegance of bygone days with a modern twist to create an imaginative, and highly personal mood for weddings across Kent. It’s an approach which proves so popular with guests of all ages and backgrounds, truly providing something for everyone.
Here are three top tips if you are considering a shabby chic style for your wedding day:

  1. Colour combine. This season’s love of pastels works really well for shabby chic weddings, but don’t feel you have to stick with one shade. Mix it up a little for that vintage feel.
  2. Accessories – for a really personal approach, why not ask your nearest and dearest to donate items that you can use for the day. But keep them guessing until the big day about how their treasures and trinkets have been used to help with the decorations!
  3. Strike a balance – while too many accessories can create a cluttered feel, too few lose impact. Mix sizes and shapes to help create an overall effect.
